THE THERAPEUTIC VALUE OF USING PHYSICAL INTERVENTIONS TO ADDRESS VIOLENT BEHAVIORS IN CHILDREN

Over the last ten years there has been considerable attention to physical interventions for children who are violent to self and others. Unfortunately, this attention has not been balanced and ignores the practical reality that at times adults need to insure safety for children in whatever form necessary. This article attempts to bring more balance to the discussion of when, how or even if physical interventions are used. (8 pages)
